Your information

Uyiru by Lanka Strong stores your account details, selected focus areas, relationship answers, age confirmation, reminder preferences, daily steps and completions. It also stores the times you use an in-the-moment reset.

Conversations and held messages

Text and voice companion conversations are saved to your account. A held message and its reflection answers stay saved until you let it go, clear your conversation, or delete your account. Uyiru never sends a held message to its recipient.

Vent conversation text is not saved in Uyiru or added to companion history. It disappears when you leave the page. Uyiru keeps content-free timestamps to enforce message limits. Request counters are also stored to prevent misuse.

AI and voice services

Anthropic receives your message, relevant onboarding answers and conversation context to generate replies and daily steps. Vent text is also sent to Anthropic to reply, even though Uyiru does not save it. If spoken replies use ElevenLabs, that service receives the reply text. Your browser or its speech service processes microphone audio for speech recognition; Uyiru does not save microphone recordings.

These services have their own privacy and retention policies. Uyiru cannot promise that outside providers retain nothing. Do not share information you do not want processed by them.

Keeping your account private

Account records are restricted to the signed-in owner in the app. Authorized service operations process data to provide Uyiru. Hosting and service providers may retain operational logs and backups. This is not a promise of absolute confidentiality or medical privacy protection.

Your sign-in session is kept in your browser. Voice reply preferences are saved on the device. Uyiru does not secretly contact, report or alert anyone for you.

Your choices and deletion

In Settings, “Clear companion conversation” removes saved chat, any held message and vent timestamps. “Delete my account and data” permanently removes your sign-in account and all associated Uyiru records, including your profile, daily steps, completions, reset timestamps and request counters. Device voice preferences and held-draft handoffs are cleared on that device. Copies in provider logs or backups may remain according to their retention policies.

Reminder preferences can be changed in Settings. Reminder email delivery is not currently active.

Adults only and urgent help

Uyiru is for people aged 18 or older. It is self-help, not medical care or therapy. For urgent support, use “Need help now?”: US call or text 988; Sri Lanka call or text 1926. For immediate danger call 911 in the US, or 119 (police) / 110 (medical) in Sri Lanka.
