What Uyiru is

Uyiru by Lanka Strong is a self-help companion for adults aged 18 or older. By using it, you agree to these terms. It is not therapy, a medical service, a diagnosis, legal advice or an emergency service. It does not replace a doctor, licensed psychologist, counsellor or lawyer.

AI has limits

Replies and daily steps may be incomplete, inaccurate or unsuitable for you. Use your judgment and seek qualified support for serious concerns. Uyiru does not give medication, dosing, tapering or treatment instructions. No particular result is promised.

Safety comes first

Do not use Uyiru instead of urgent help. In the US, call or text 988 for crisis support or call 911 for immediate danger. In Sri Lanka, call or text 1926, or call 119 for police / 110 for a medical emergency. “Need help now?” includes substance-use and domestic-violence support. Elsewhere, contact your local emergency number.

Uyiru never secretly reports or contacts anyone on your behalf. You must contact real support yourself. Dangerous withdrawal needs a doctor or emergency help, not self-help coaching.

Your account and choices

Keep your account secure. Do not use Uyiru to threaten, stalk, track, harass or pressure anyone, bypass another person’s boundaries, or misuse the service. A held message is a private pause: Uyiru never sends, schedules or shares it with a recipient. Copying or sending it yourself is your choice and responsibility.

Saved information and leaving

Your profile, daily steps and companion history are saved as described in the Privacy Policy. Vent text is not saved by Uyiru but is processed by the AI provider. You can clear conversations or permanently delete your account and associated Uyiru records in Settings. Service providers may retain logs or backups under their own policies.

Availability and changes

Uyiru may pause, change or be unavailable. Message limits help keep the service usable. These terms may change; the updated date will appear here. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under applicable law.
